Digital TV transition officially delayed until June 12th.

Segatron Genesis... call me the wizard.
Due to people complaining about the HD issues. The Senate pushed up the date from Feb 12th to June 12th.

Seriously people?? Is it that hard?? They warned everyone 3 YEARS AGO. I still have TV Stations that look like doodoo!

The Box cost $39.99 I think. The sad news, is the government ran out of the coupons to get $20 off the box!

It's funny, actually...  I heard on the radio that the government ran out of funding for that program and had to cut it.  But yes, you could get a voucher for a free one, otherwise they're $49.99 at Walmart and... $59.99 at Radio Shack I believe.

Kinda sucks for us cause we still use our antenna and we can't afford the box... Also not one of our 5 TVs are HD.
 
Actually, this is how the program works.

You get two coupons per household. They are both for $40 off of a DTV converter box. If I'm not mistaken, you can only use one coupon for one box and can not be combined. Not all converter boxes are priced at $40, so chances are you will still have to pay a few dollars out of pocket. The program did run out of funding and is the main reason why Obama asked the senate to push the date back four more months.

To be honest, I don't think there were many people complaining. Just a lot of people who want to get it over with already.

Ah there ya go, the root of the problem that seems to be solved. I knew something was missing from this dilemma, to think why would they push it back, when we have had more than enough time to prepare. It's not the people's fault, but the programs fault instead, right?

Pretty much. I don't blame Obama for trying to help out the people who still haven't converted, but this has to be done. We need the signals for emergency response systems.

I don't think so. The U.S. legislature doesn't have any power outside of the U.S. If Canadian television is broadcast from within the U.S. though (maybe near the boarder, they get the signal from America or something), there will no longer be an analog signal. It would only apply to those broadcasting from within the U.S. though (or at least that's what logic would dictate).
