Disc Drive Problems

WELL THIS IS JUST GREAT!!!! I just got completely addicted to Fallout a few days ago (I bought it Amazon recently and just got it like 3 days ago) and now my ****ing disc drive is broken. I tried putting in several different game disc's, many of which were completely scratch free, and the stupid thing just spins them around as fast as possible for 15 minutes and then says it can't read the disc. >:( Any suggestions on how to fix????? :?

Yeah. Pull it out and buy a new one. I had to do that once already. And now I have a DVD-R drive that works sometimes. I might buy a new computer and use this one as a slave drive and not have to worry about it.

I can't do that. When I found out it was broken, I was going to take it out, but its attached to the mother board so that options pretty much done unless I want to try to remove the motherboard, and I honestly don't have the computer skill to try and do that...

Sorry for the double post here, but I have a solution to my problems. My brother had the exact same laptop as me that he stopped using because of a bad battery (well that and he bought a Mac Mini) so I'm just gonna use his laptop and leave it plugged in whenever I use it. I just have to reload windows (he has his harddrive almost completely full and a ton of spyware so this is the easiest way for me to clean it out) and reinstall some stuff and I'm good. :)

EDIT: Sorry for the double post, but I just thought it would make it easier for everyone to see that the problem has been solved, instead of posting without reading some edit I wrote in on my previous post.
