Personally, I am quite nostalgic. Whenever I think of all the great times my friends and I have had playing video games, sometimes I feel like I would give anything to go relive some of those memories. Since I have a very sharp memory, things getting my N64, playing Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, Mario Party, and loads of other games really stick out for me. I would say though, that I am most nostalgic when it comes to the Nintendo 64. Sure, it may be outdated now, but I have my best memories on that system, and probablly always will. Sure, games like Halo and Halo 2 will make me nostalgic a few years down the road, but the N64 will probablly always be my favorite system, if not for the great games, then definitely for the memories.

Sometimes depends on wat they are. Some memories are better left forgotten. Others ya i wish i could go back and live again just for 1 day even

Depends on me too.. somethings are just something I would only like to happen once.. but then there are some that I wanna go back to and basically relive the whole thing.

Whenever I play Ocarina of Time, as lame as it sounds, I am a kid again. I can't play that game without feeling like I'm back in grade six. I also tend to listen to music while I play videogames, so if I ever get a new cd around the time I get a new game the listening to the cd usually reminds me of playing the game and vice versa. I'm a huge sucker for trips down memory lane...

Probably depends on what we are talking about.......some memories i wish i never had.........some i wish i would have changed something at the time or relived again

Of course! How can anyone not get nostalgic? Just becase time passes doesn't mean that we should pretend the things we used to love don't exist anymore. I hate it when people are just stuck in modern times. Ok sorry...but I get very passionate about this. It's in my name, Retro Hero.

To me, the NES and SNES are just as alive as the PS2 and Gamecube.

And good on you, stealth. I do that too. :D

Hey,
I would have to say I am a bit to nostalgic, I mean sometimes it's like I am living in the past. I try to relive my past but it never feels the same. Its like certain sounds or smells will hit me with a flashback and I go into a daydream of memories...

I get hit by nostalgia so hard at times it's like a sledge hammer to the face. I remember the first video game I ever got to play, Donkey Kong Country on the SNES. Those were simpler times :p.

If I ever even try to "relive" a moment, it doesn't feel right. Like something is missing, or I'm not doing it right. That would be cool if you could "quicksave" and "quickload" in real life..............

:lol :lol

but that could also suck at the same time because you get the bad with the good and vice versa :)

Well maybe.........just think. Quicksaving in bowling. Reload everytime you don't get a strike :lol

Man I've been playing to much Half-Life

Haha, I remember back in the day when I used to play games on a Snes emulator, I would save states and load states so frequently that one day my friend asked if I wanted to go downtown or just stay at my house and my solution was to hit f2 in case going downtown was boring, until I realized I wasn't even sitting in front of a keyboard.

That kinda thing happens too frequently. When I was really into Wind Waker I found myself choosing my directions while walkin for maximum efficiency cuz I was so used to heading in specific directions in Wind Waker.

:lol That's pretty funny, Stealth. I don't know if I've ever had that happen to me.

I think the most recent nostalgic moment I had was a few years ago, when I got the Neverending Story on DVD. Neverending Story was one of my favorite childhood movies, and frankly I'm surprised my VHS copy still works, as much as I've watched it. When I watched it on DVD, though...the quality was so amazing! It almost felt like I was seeing it for the first time. It was great!

I've never seen either of those...

Speaking of nostalgia I just found out the other day that my friend has a working NES and Ninja Gaiden, which I played obsessively as a kid. A bunch of us went over to his house to watch movies, so while they were in the basement watchin them I was in his room beating the boss that always killed me as a child. It was very rewarding but also kind of discouraging that I never beat him before. He was hard but not as hard as I remembered it. After that I joined them in watching movies, I mean, I'm not that big a nerd.

When I didn't have power I stayed at my grandparents a couple nights. They have an SNES there with a few games and of course I tried them out. :D *Sigh* I missed some of those...

yeah..... the Snes was great :)

I still play mine :)

I will never sell it. UN squadron... one of the best games EVER!

Geeze, ever since that night I've had such a lust (yes, actual LUST) to play that game. I honestly don't remember the last time I've had that much fun playing a videogame. Shoddy graphics, abysmal sound, cheezy story, and I want to play it more than any game I own.

I miss the addictive gameplay of the 2d era. Back then games had to be good to make it in the biz. They couldn't dazzle you with pretty visuals or popular licenses, they just needed to be fun.
