Do you have any pets?

mrs_enigma

Here is a lil smile for ya :)
What pets have you had, or currently have, or hope to get?

I want to get a hamster. I had twodwarf hamster a number of years ago, and I also had a dog once, and a stray cat, and a lot of pet rabbits.

As an adult, I only had the hamsters, and for a number of years I have not had any pets.

So, what about all of you?

Had a pit bull once, a Rhodesian ridgeback, and a slew of other pets/hungry mouths/liabilities. Currently all I have now are my two kids. They trash the house enough as it is for me so I don't need any other animals.

15 or 16 years. Wow! Old dog!

I have a cat named Quincy. He's a little over a year old now, and he's gray and really fluffy! Especially this time of year with his winter coat.

My gf and I found him abandoned in a parking lot near our apartment and took him in. We had to hand feed him because he was so little (he was maybe 3 weeks old). It was an interesting experience.

He used to be really aggravating and not very friendly, but since we moved out of that apartment and into another place, he's calmed down considerably, and acts like a real cat now! :) He'll even sleep on the bed with us, and he purrs.

We've had soooo many. At present, we have two dogs, a sheep and three cats. But in total, we've had 11 dogs, 2 sheep, 5 cats, 3 ducks, 15 chickens, 4 rabbits, 2 guinepigs, 2 mice, about 31 (various) birds, 2 hermet crabs, 2 yabbies and around 20 (various) fish.

I have a cat, and I want a royal python (cue, "ewww snakes"). I think snakes have a bad reputatation because, well, I don't know why. I guess sterotypes started with the whole Adam of Eve thing and have evolved into modern day phobias. I'd get one but I don't think I have the stability in my life to properly take care of one. My friend has a corn snake named Motley (who's very sweet but nobody wants to touch him) and a baby boa constictor named George (who gets the same reaction as Motley).

P.S. Strangely, I have severe arachnaphobia. SEVERE!

i have 1 guinea pig (male) my mom says we mite be able to get a bunny rabit but my mom had way more pets then me wen she was little and i mean (ALOT) she lived in malaysia, penang she's a muslim she had alot of pets like...chicks,rosters,mice,rabbits,ducks,fish,and she had more but i forgot...too many pets

Mai, it sounds like you went through a lot of work to keep it alive at first, eh? I had two baby racoons (one looked starving) for a short period of time, and they were a ton of work. I mean, they needed to drink from a bottle, would cry during the might, and the one hated me, but the other one thought I was his mom. I only had then a short time, before I decided to obey the law that prohibits people in our area from making pets of wild animals, and then I turned them over to a licensed person, buit I would imagine you went through a lot more work with your cat.

Ya, Grindspine post me some pics of your pets!

Hell Scythe, it seems a bit odd that your family has sheep. Kind of an odd pet. Are they nice? We had a few when I was growing up, but the one would try to butt us when we went outside. He would like chase us, but I guess if they were in a pen it'd be OK.

Samamir, I don't know if snakes being freaky is all because of Adam and Eve. I think they would seem creepy no matter what. Ha.
