I really, really like the online play. But what really destroys the experience for me is all of the cheating and modding that is taking place on live. I mean, it is ok to mod, but please not on live. It really fucks up the experience.
Halo is full of contreversy. There are those who think that Halo is the best game ever made. And there are those who think it's the most over rated. Rather unfair as I think that it falls somewhere in between. The multi player campaign is unsurpassed. However, the single player campaign was somewhat repetitive and I get annoyed when I leave a room and then I see that the room I just entered is exactly like the one I just left.
Yes I do have Halo 2, but no it is not my absolutel favorite game. I barely play it anymore. There are more titles out their that I like more than Halo 2. Like Ninja Gaiden, Unreal Championship 2: Liandri Conflict, Half-Life 2, Delta Force-Black Hawk Down, Ghost Recon 2: Summit Strike. But my favorite of all is Ninja Gaiden!!!!!
Single player was great if you understand the story, which I can't expect more than 10% of the Halo population to...No I can't explain it, look for yourself and read the books.
Here's a shocker. I am here to say that I never in my life have played Halo. Or Halo 2, although I have seen the game. My brother-in-law plays it almost every day. If I ever get an Xbox, or an Xbox 360, maybe I'll buy it. Who knows?
Halo 1 and 2 are absolute must haves if you own an Xbox. But, play Halo 1 first. Do not touch Halo 2 before at least beating Halo 1. Really, though, Halo 2 is only truly worth buying if you have XBL. The campaign is bland gameplay-wise. Halo 1's campaign is easily among the tep ten best FPS stories/campaigns of all time. Co-op is a total blast.
I think I am like the only guy on the planet who doesn't care for Halo much. If I ever buy an XBox, I don't know if I'll ever buy Halo 1 or 2. If I do, it will be for collection purposes only.
Now Xbox freaks. Please don't hunt me down and beat me senseless. I'm not a fanboy or a hater of any console.
Well, I don't have any reasons. The game just never appealed to me. Kind of like Splinter Cell for the PS2. I had it. I played it like once and then I gave it to my brother because it just wasn't my thing.
I personally am just not that fond of it... the game isn't bad, I just don't enjoy playing it... that is about the best answer I can give.
I LOVED the 1st Splintercell (btw)..... pandora tomorrow pailed in comparison... I have yet to play chaos theory (will do when price comes down and I beat pandora tomorrow).
