Five years ago I owned a Neo-Geo AES system, MVS arcade system, and a consolized MVS system. I also owned over $5000 worth of games for them. I also owned NES, SNES, Genesis/32X/Sega-CD, Turbo-Duo, 2 3DO consoles, CD-i, PS1, PS2, Sega Master System, GBC, GBA, NGPC, N64, Gamecube, Dreamcast, Saturn, Xbox, and Neo-Geo CD. I hade well over 200 games for these systems combined as well.
However due to a divorce, lawyer fees, and moving 3000 miles to start a new life...I sold the vast majority of them all. Now days I am a budget gamer because I am a father of two wonderful kids, and there are much more important things to spend my money on. Now I only own a PS2, Wii, Dreamcast, and NGPC. I don't think that makes me any less of a gamer though. So no, I don't think that the size of your collection means anything really, other than whether or not you have other things in your life with higher priorities than gaming. Myself, my love for gaming could never replace my love for my family and providing for them 8)
