Downloadable Content for Halo 2! (Sorry, another H2 topic)

Bungie just announced their new plan for downloadable content for Halo 2.  This plan includes 9 new maps: Containment, Warlock, Sanctuary, Turf, Terminal, Relic, Elongation, Gemini and Backwash.  They will begin releasing the maps on different dates, starting in late April.  The first couple will be free, and then some you will have to pay for.  If you dont have Xbox live, you can buy the maps off of a CD.  If you do have XBL, and you dont want to pay, the maps will be released for free in late summer.  They also give some information on the next Autoupdate.

Not bad. I wish they could have released more Halo: CE maps, though. Oh well, 9 maps is a fairly large amount.
 
yeah, i checked out their site just minutes after they updated it... it looks like it's going to be pretty crazy, although i'm not looking forward to being left out on the new maps... I don't know if i want to hold out until they're all free before i download them, i'll prolly cave and just pay for them altogether.
 
lol, same here, ill probably wait for a while, and if people telll me that the new maps are impressive and i should download them, i probably will.
 
Pay for extra maps? Even if they are really good, I would never do that. If you already paid $50 for the game, then why would you have to pay more for things that should have been included in the first place?
 
yeah that's a good point... but the sad thing is, that i'd buy them; and so would alot of other people. So i guess the juice is worth the squeeze.
 
Yeah, I'm probably planning to get the DVD, just to say I did. I mean, I have the special edition Halo Xbox, Halo, special DVD edition of Halo 2. Might as well continue the whole thing by getting the DLC maps on the DVD...
