Dragon Age Origins Thread (Update: Ultimate Edition includes everything)

It would be cool if it did come with Awakening. That article doesn't say that it does though. But at the same time I would hate it cause I already have almost all the DLC.

Apparently, it does -

Yes it includes every DLC

If it's worth playing, it's worth putting on a disc.

If it's worth playing, then it's worth playing whether it's digital or not, because it's worth playing. How is it a rip-off if it's worth playing?

We gotta remember, it still hasn't even been officially announced. There's still room for change, although I'm willing to bet that it will have everything. I'm thinking they are waiting until the new Witch Hunter DLC is released to announce the Ultimate Edition so people know what they're getting.

And on the subject of DLC, the only way DLC is ever considered a rip-off in my book, is if it's ridiculously overpriced, and i dont even mind that if it's good DLC.

Also, why put DownLoadable Content on a disc? That'd defeat the purpose.

Yaaaawn :z Anyways. Back on topic? I am glad I took Creepin's advice and waited on buying DA. I'll definitely be getting this!

Meh, I'm not too upset I guess, the only DLC I don't have is Leliana's Song, the Darkspawn one (which a friend said it's not worth it anyways), and Morrigan's. I don't like Leliana or Morrigan as characters anyways, I usually make them hate my character cause it's fun to do :D

Morrigan is fun to make hate you, I mean, she's mean to you even with a high approval rating, even when you're romancing her!

Because 9/10 times, DLC is stuff that's *removed* from the game and sold separately. It should have been on the disc in the first place.

Good point, but, what can ya do about it? If the game is good, I'll buy it regardless of how greedy the makers are. :P

I went ahead and bought Leliana's Song just cause people on other forums say that it's good. It was about an 1-1.5 hours and was pretty entertaining. Didn't make me care much for her character any more than I do though.

I recently started it too, had to restart cause i died though. :(
I hate the random boss that appears if you choose to do some of the extra stuff. :P

And I for one, definitely don't consider it to be terrible DLC. I love the DLC I've played so far.

Then you are part of the problem, because you are supporting greedy developers.

Terrible DLC is never going to go away if you keep buying it.

What problem? You're criticizing everything in every thread, now that's a problem.

You are entitled to your opinion, but after countless repeats of what you're saying. I think we got the point clear.

I wasn't aware of the sarcasm and attitude. You are entitled to your opinion, but after countless repeats of what you're saying. I think we got the point clear.

I'm only criticising DLC, which is valid.

As mentioned before, let's not derail the thread any longer. This is about Dragon Age and its contents. You're more than welcome to start a DLC thread if you actually want to discuss it.
