DSi Only games will have a distinctive look

Just to make sure, that normal DS users are left out in the cold. Nintendo wants to make sure your DSi-only games look epic.
 
Almost looks like the same pattern that they used in the transition from Gameboy Pocket to Gameboy Color. It is bound to happen sooner or later. It is just sort-of chancy if the user base of the DSi is very low. Visions of the Gameboy Micro here? Nah.. maybe just a slow start. When everyone gets a taste of the games for the DSi then maybe it will take off. I'm still waiting for a demo unit in store. I have yet to see one.
 
It's not a bad thing they are transitioning. Although I do not thinks it's optimal... I don't want to stiffle innovation.

One interesting quote :
