Dungeons & Dragons

I recently started playing Neverwinter Nights 2, which uses a hell of a lot of rules from DND 3.5

Granted, it does about 80% of the calculations for you and just leaves you to decide attacks and character builds and talking.

@ Priince - Do you have something productive to add? :)

Maybe, but you're really protective over this whole thing, so I feel as if I have any opinion of my own about this whole thing that isn't exactly how I feel, you'll just continue to be to me, so no.

No cussing or flaming. - RH

Haven't played since the '70s and, after looking at the prices of the manuals online, all I can say is, "Wow. Expensive." I remember when a starter set was $12-15.

On the plus side, I imagine that with computers and the Internet nowadays you could download a lot of modules and stuff for free, print out your own character sheets, etc..

A good Dungeon Master is essential to D&D. Lousy DM = no fun for anyone.

You quoted me and then rolled your eyes without any explanation for rolling your eyes. I'm sorry that I took that the wrong way. I actually would like to know what you think. Do you play? :)

I haven't ever played the tabletop game but I have played Bladur's Gate I &II, Icewind Dale I & II, NWN, Dragonshard, Bladur's Gate Dark Alliance I & II and Demonstone.

I play in the same campaign as Mai. I have a Fey'ri dragonfire adept/dragon devotee. Basically she's a living flamethrower. Her alignment is chaotic good, unlike most Fey'ri who are evil. I really skimped on her Wisdom score so she's got almost no common sense and has gone a bit crazy over the years. It's so much fun to play her. ^__^

To redneckgamer 213 how was Demon Stone? I wanted to play it because 1) Forgotten Realms is my favorite campaign setting and 2) R.A. Salvatore wrote the story for it, and I lovelovelove his FR books.

I played a half-elf dragon shaman in a pick-up game on Saturday and quite enjoyed it. My dragon totem was a copper dragon so my breath weapon was acid! :D I got to spit acid on a kraken.

Saw the Xbox version the other day at K-Mart for $5. It was on an end-cap at one of the checkouts. They're clearing out all the last gen stuff to make room.
