I read in GamePro magazine that the newest chip developed for the PS3 is 4.7 GhZ, and that so far is faster than any PC so far. Maybe they might start makin games with decent graphics and unbelievable features and gameplay, and something that hasn't happened since the original PS, but maybe a game with 3 or 4 discs once again. And this time, were talkin about DVD roms. Not just normal 800 MB CD's
But do you realize how long it would take to make a 4 disc game in this day and age?
I'd rather have shorter games that take less time to develop. It was bad enough that Halo 2 took like 3 years and it ended up not being as good as Halo (IMO). And I'm
still waiting for Perfect Dark Zero, which was supposed to be a launch title for
XBOX, and now it's rumored to be an
XBOX 360 launch title.
Also, if you work in the industry you can get into E3 for free, but all you get to see is the floor exhibits (no press conferences or workshops). You just have to prove that you work in the industry by sending in photocopies of your paystubs and tax forms. I work at GameStop, so that's how I get in. Since I went last year, I didn't even have to resend any info this year. They considered me an "E3 alumni" so I just had to confirm that my information from last year was still correct. I did that back in January or February. Today they are sending out all the badges to the people who registered early.
You can still get in without being in the industry, but you have to pay for it, and the cheapest package runs about $300+.
I plan on going all three days this year, so I will definitely let you guys know how it is. I'm going with a few friends who are also getting in free (two of them work at Wal-Mart, and another works at KayBee Toys). Sorry to say that I won't take requests on certain games, since I have my own agenda. But any games that I check out I will talk about.
