E3 2007 Sony Press Conference

this conference has instilled life back into my belief in sony. they absolutely blew me away. great exclusives, "home" looks phenominal, and just about everything else looked great. i give their show a perfect 10/10, and as soon as i get a job, i will run out and buy a playstation 3

thats right

hines says he wants a PS3

thank you sony for a wonderful show, and you may truly get back your crown, for being gamings king.

Sony was the best this year. No doubt. I have said bad things about Sony this year, and they are all proven wrong. They had the best showcase of upcoming games, the best new and improved hardware, best new releases. In my opinion, Brawl and Mario Kart are the better games, but Nintendo didn't have many new games. Sony introduced us to over 15 new games coming to both the PS3, PS3 online downloading system, and the PSP. The PSP really looks promising this year with the upcoming God of War game, Chains of Olympus. Along with that, the newer model looks like it might actually have some potential. Home looks like a great online interaction system with lots of entertaining features. I will definitely purchase the new, lower priced PS3 most likely after Christmas because by then I should have enough money and still have purchased Brawl. Killzone 2 looks good. Everything Sony demonstrated this year was gold. Sony won my heart this year. They were strictly all for the games and the new stuff. No numbers and statistics and how they're games are going to wipe the floor with the other competitors games. Sony won this year, at least in my opinion. The PS3 will gain speed quickly and effectively. Sony proved my predictions false. PS3 will prosper.

I have to agree with everyone else here. Sony's conference was truly the best. There was no sitting around putting up statistics about console sales. It was all about games and just overall showing how good they are trying to do. Its make or break for Sony this year and this press conference certainly is a promising start...

i think the console is worth buying for "home" alone (no pun intended), if its what i think it is. a whole world, that you could walk for hours and still see new people and environments, and your property is unique to everybody elses

does this mean the wii is like psp, but with a few better games?
No, the Wii is more like the DS, in that it has HUGE sales by appealing to casual gamers and has a good lineup of games for people who like casual gaming and, although there are a decent amount of good titles there for hardcore gamers, is lacking slightly (far less than the Wii) in really deep hardcore games. It does have a decent amount, but its not overflowing with games like that...

Yep, and I said to have some patience and see what Sony have in store later on. This is one of those "I hate to say I told you so" moments.

Hey, don't be telling me so. I should be telling everyone else so. Wait, why do we hate to tell everyone we told them so. It feels so good. :lol

i hate to say im sorry for telling you to shut up

im sorry....DONT BAN ME :-[

Joke? Serious?

But yeah, I'm glad I stood by Sony, I knew they wouldn't let me down. :)

Now if they could stop being so expensive so I can actually buy one!

Well, it isn't over yet, but Sony's on its way back up. Its not gonna be easy, considering they're 10 million units behind the 360, but by the end of this generation, the PS3 will probably have surpassed it. But, the important thing is, Sony needed to deliver games, and they did...

Now this is a big suprise, I thought the PS3 was gonna be garbage?

Just for the record, and if you go back and read the posts, I said it was garbage at the time and that I hoped it would get better. ;)
