EA says bye bye to PSP! No joke!

And though there were other factors, not having EA's support was perhaps a large reason why the Dreamcast, although technically in the same generation as the PS2, XBOX, and Gamecube, was the first system to be cast aside and forgotten by all but the most die-hard Sega fans.
To be quite honest, I can't stand EA any more than I like Sony so I don't care either way. But I do know that EA appeals to the mainstream, and the PSP will suffer if it cannot appeal to that fanbase. Half of my customers just buy Madden and NBA Live. If they couldn't get that for their PSP anymore, they'd probably trade them in. They're not going to go for the actual good stuff like Ultimate Ghosts N Goblins.

My theory, the average american consumer is very narrowminded when it comes to sports games. They dont care who or what, as long as it's onthat particular system.
Yet as we both agree, the kiss of death is when an American system does not recieve EA support. That is just freakin' sad honestly, how sports rule the lives of the consumers to determine what to buy and they sum up a large percentage of video game sales in this country I'm pretty sure.
I was in the same boat as you, I worked for VG Retailers for 7 1/2 years and it drove me insane, that I literally cussed out the District Manager of GameCrazy one day when I was fed up with the crap the employees and higher ups pull when it comes to marketing and sales. I had it, I'm done with VG Retail, they can all kiss it, smack it, and lick it!
They dont give a good flying rats butt about RPG's, Action/Adventure, Fighting. Retro Collections, SNK related even (Caught managers throwing out SNK flyers for Xbox titles, cuz nobody CARES they said!). To ignore SO many titles and just focus on Madden or Wrestling makes me puke and they wonder WHY this certain title didn't sell well in the month of August when Madden-butt-humpin' 07' got insane sales.
Yet the only hope I get is hearing European, Australian and Japan sales, those consumers KNOW what games should be. I'm not even anti-American, I'm super Patriot! Defender of the Flag! yet why is the market making me hate my own people!?
Between you and me, I hope Madden dies a painful death, I'm tired of lookin at this senial ol' babblin dunder head. 16 years of his talk is more then enough to check into a mental ward.
