EB Games vs. Game Stop (websites)

Well...I've been looking at new releases for the DS to see what's coming up in the next couple weeks/months (more to see what to budget for my spending :D ), and i've noticed that they're not on the same page (no pun intended) as far as release dates for various games go. EB Games has Sonic DS coming out 3/1, with Gamestop 5/2....and i don't think I saw Eggman or whtaever that rpg is that I saw on the EB Games site on Gamestop either. So why the discrepancy? Does nintendo just put out faulty information?
 
I checked their sites and saw that the date at the ebgames site is not confirmed yet. I also checked other game review sites. Some said 3/1, while others said TBA. It will probably be confirmed in few days if it hasnt already, since march 1st is pretty close.
 
To be honest, GameStop has been more accurate on release dates then EB Games for many years.

I do not like both, but judging from GameStop's guess on Sonic DS...that is closer to reality then what EB says
 
To be honest, even though I work for GameStop, I prefer ebgames.com more than GameStop.com. IMO it's more user-friendly. I also like that it has customer reviews and screenshots.

As far as release dates go, GameStop.com usually is more accurate. EBgames.com has a thing where they'll put a date just so they can get people to pre-order. You can spot a fake date on EBgames.com really easily. I'll tell you how:

Any date for a game that is coming out on the first, 15th, or 30th of a month is not a real date.

In most cases, you know a date for a game is real if it's any day between the 2nd and 14th of the month, or 16th and 29th of the month.

I can tell you that according to GameStop's computers, Sonic is coming out May 3 last time I checked.

are you sure? My suppliers are still stating 3-01

may 3rd probably is the new push back date though...

Okay...the plot thickens....I ask about Sonic DS and Egg Monster DS..and the Pacman game..that are all slated to come out next week in the EB store a block from my house...they have *no* release dates for any of those games. You'd figure they could coordinate within their own company, especially since they're such jerks about wanting you to preoder everything. Are you getting it for sure BV? Maybe I'll just preorder it from you...
 
Pac Pix has a set release date in the GameStop computer. I was so excited to see it that I don't actually remember it. :lol But it was sometime near the end of April. I will double check tonight when I work and post any new dates.
