Ebays Text Messaging Service for Ending Items..etc

I was looking to sign up for this today... I had a couple items I was watching. I saw the feature adn decided that might be kind-of cool. Well... digging further, and of course I Didn't read the terms and conditions, when the text message arrived (to confirm I wanted the service)... there was a little blurb about a $0.25 fee for the text messages. I don't know if that is per text, OR if it's per 10 texts (because it says up to 10 text messages PER item for delivery texts.

SO... I didn't respond to the texts. You have to respond to sign up. It's cool they offer this... and I know as a company they need money, but man $0.25 is a lot of money if you are watching a lot of items. GOOD SERVICE though if there is something you REALLY want and have to be on the go and need to keep track of it to win it.

Why not set an alarm for the ending time of the auction in order to keep track? Free and requries slightly more effort.

do you suggest my alarm clock? my PDA goes off enough as it is... but to be honest, I do set my alarms for auctions on my pda.

I am just reporting on the feature anyway... I thought it sounded like a good idea until the fee.
