Essential PS2 Games

wth...wtf!...also I like to play The Sonic Mega Collection plus on the ps2 because I was raised on sonic and Mario games...I love mario...

Why you! >:( The 2nd one was my favorite and the 3rd was good but I was disappointed that they didn't bring back the Visibomb from the 1st game. Don't care much for the 4th one because online deathmatching bores the crap out of me.

Edit: I would also recommend Dark Cloud 2. The first one, not so much.
 
Iv'e played dark cloud 2 and i have the 1st and 2nd Rachet games so yea...the visobomb was pretty cool...i havnt played them in forever...now i wanna dust them off and play them again. thats what this forum does to ppl i gess ::)
 
I love Dark Cloud 2 also. Loved the first as well because it was more challenging, but not as advanced. Definately an under-rated RPG series, I want number 3. >:(
 
I liked both Dark Cloud 1 an 2. DC2 is easily one of my favorite ps2 games. I actually won that game review contest here with a Dark Cloud 2 review :D Oh and Retro, you should try Rogue Galaxy if you have not yet, it's made by the same guys who did DC.
 
My favourites are

Grand Theft Auto San Andreas-Great missions, environment and has a load to do :) I love it.

Gran Turismo 4 - Awesome cars, I get them to do them up and use them solo :). B Spec mode I use for a lot of races because Im lazy haha. Good fun.

Sly 3 - Great cartoon gaming sequel to Sly 1 and 2. Challenging missions and bosses :). The mission where you have to fly a plane and shoot the others down is awesome fun :)

Rugby League 2 - Great game since Im a fan of the sport. A few annoying flaws but a lot more good qualities such as cutout passes, ball stripping etc.

Tomb Raider Legend - Best TR game by far in my opinion. Challenging puzzles which get frustrating at times. Gameplay is awesome.

Does it have simularities with DC?
 
I dunno, I was hoping you'd buy it and tell me ;) I figure it is though, I mean, I know it is the same graphic style as DC2 and I'm pretty sure the battle system is similar. I would also suspect it has the usual good amount of side quests and what not. It's more of a futuristic story which I think is cool, but that may not be your thing. It gets good reviews though, check some out.
 
I woul like to replace MGS2 in my list with Shadow of the Collosus. my sister almost cried when the Agro the horse almost... well, players of the game know what happened.
