i agree totally, the only one i actually DO like is san andreas (i also bought vice city for 50 cents at a yardsale, but have yet to play it)
the mafia themed ones are just not fun, but san andreas has soul.

You could play for a hundred hours without running people over. It's called standing there doing nothing. The meat of GTA gameplay involves killing or doing something else that will get the po-po chasing after you. They're a good series of games, but I don't think many people have gone 30 minutes playing a GTA game without killing anyone, or doing something else illegal.

Why? He basically agreed with me. I wasn't criticizing GTA for allowing you to do crimes. In fact, that's the idea behind gaming: doing something you can't do in real life. The point I was trying to make was the idea that you can't play GTA for a half an hour without doing something illegal. That's actually part of the appeal of the game. Where else can you shoot 5 hookers, then kill a bunch of cops chasing you and not get the death penalty?

This is one reason why I hate posting on forums, there's tons of room for misunderstanding. I don't mind the violence in GTA. I was just making a point about how the meat of GTA gameplay is illegal stuff.
