The greatest show in television history now has a video game all its own. The game releases this Tuesday and I can't freakin' wait. :D

The game will play much like the show. It will be one 24 hour period in the life of Jack Bauer. It will take place beween seasons 2 and 3 and will feature great 24 characters Jack Bauer, David Palmer, Tony Almeida, Michelle Dessler, Chloe O'Brien, Kimberly Bauer, Ryan Chappelle, Chase Edmunds and more.

The genre will be probably similar to MGS with Stealth, shootouts, and, my personal I can't wait to try this, interrogations. Yeah interrogations Jack Bauer style. :D

This may soon become my alltime fav game. 8)
 
Oh no. 24 the videogame?? I can't stand the series. But out of a lame series may come a great game. I'll give it the benefit of the doubt.
 
Well I just got back from reserving mine at GameStop. I have no interest in going to the store on Tuesday and hearing...."Duh that guy just took the last copy." >:(

This way my copy's guaranteed. :D
 
I'm a fan of the show so I'll probably pick it up. I'm not expecting too much but it will still be cool to see stuff that wasn't on the show.
 
Yeah I had to be at work early on Tuesday so I did not get the chance to pick up my reserved copy, but since I did reserve I will have no problemo picking it up in the morning before work on Wednesday. :D

Well I'll first get a chance to play it tomorrow night. Umm you might not see me for a week or so. :D :lol

I'll most certainly let you all know what I think, but I must warn you I may be biased in my opinion. :D
 
My friend is crazy about this game. He downloaded it on his cell phone. He also went out and got it last night. He's ecstatic about this game. :lol

Well I'm here. I just got through playing for almost 3 hours straight. The should tell you how cool I think this game is. Here are some interesting things I've experienced so far.

First off you don't just play as Jack Bauer. So far I've played as Jack, Tony, Chase, and had couple of missions that involved decoding stuff as other minor characters.

The game begins at 6AM, I am now at around 11:30AM

So far I've used a wide array of guns, including a sniper rifle for one mission.

Some parts of some missions are timed, you need to finish in the time allotted.

The driving is a little tricky but not terrible. Just takes getting used to.

You are graded at the end of every mission. You are awarded a percentage score depending on the amount of time, shooting accuracy, driving accuracy, property damage, civilian casualties, etc., etc. My highest so far is a 97% ironically enough on one of the driving missions, my lowest was like 31%.

Once you've completed a mission you can always go back and try it again so you can better your score.

You actually get penalized, scorewise, for things like using health packs, shooting civilians, shooting surrendering baddies, etc.

The game moves along like the show with cutscenes and the good ol' clock telling you what time it is.

The missions are varied though mostly of the shooting variety. Stealth is very much encouraged and a necessary part of surviving.

You seem to unlock things by getting very high grades.

Nina Myers is in the game, though I've not run into her yet, can't wait. :D

The interrogation mission I did so far took me 3 tries to get it right. :D
 
Interrogation mission!? sweet! This game sounds good so far. I hope you get to torture Nina when you find her... I will torture her badly... very badly :D

You know I'm willing to bet thst Nina and Jack never come face to face in this game. I don't believe they saw each other in between seasons 2 and 3 which is when this game takes place. If she does run into anyone I'm guessing it will be Tony or Chase. I will find out soon, very soon. :D

The game is not 24 hours long as far as gameplay is concerned. It does jump around a bit, meaning it doesn't show you everything that is going on but jumps to the action sequences or missions. Remember in the show there are plenty of scenes that involve just conversations so you don't see this in the game. And everything in the game revolves around CTU, So far I've not seen any side stories like you'll get on the show.

I did suffer one glitch that apparently is rather common. In the middle of one of my missions my character all of a sudden didn't want to aim or shoot. I had to restart the mission from the beginning again, kinda reminds me of the troubles I had while playing The Getaway.

Still a great game. :D
 
I wouls say that this game is for only fans of the show....anyone else will get bored veeeery fast.

I'm having fun bringing up old topics...... :D
