The PS3 needs to come down to $299 before it can be a serious contender for first place in the console wars.

Best post yet.

Re: September, the month the PS3 takes control

no, the price is fine. you get what you pay for. its an awesome system with sweet features (home ftw)

it could have better games at the moment, but they will come

Re: September, the month the PS3 takes control

people pay 600 dollars for a phone why not for a videogame console that has features almost the same as a PC but with blue-ray. my first view of the ps3 i admit it wasn't very good, but if you look at the big number of features, you'll see that 600 (ok maybe 500) is a good price for this console

Re: September, the month the PS3 takes control

the games are a valid complaint, though. its lacking a bit right now, but they will be here, i believe in sony 100%

Re: September, the month the PS3 takes control

proof number one of why sony will rise at least on second place on the market (first place in hardcore popularity).

number 1 ps1
number 2 ps2

they both had a rough start (the ps1 not that much) but at the end they rised to the top

Re: September, the month the PS3 takes control

i don't think nintendo needs help right now :lol, they already sold so many consoles (wii and DS) that they have enough money for 2 more generations, and now the wii's gonna be refreshed with wii balance board (the balance board not wii fit)

but yeah i also belive in sony but a 75%

Re: September, the month the PS3 takes control

Neither the PS3 or the Wii are even a year old yet. Both have games coming in the future. To give the PS3 the benefit of the doubt and deny that same option to the Wii just seems a little silly.

Well, Nintendo's been struggling over the last two generations, with a lack of third party games, and I'm not sure if this is gonna change with the Wii. Nintendo's in house franchises are great, but they aren't frequent enough for the Wii to have enough games without third party support, and maybe the Wii will get third party support, but I'm not gonna assume they'll get it, with Nintendo's recent history.

Re: September, the month the PS3 takes control

You have a point, and a good one at that. That's kind of what I am looking for when I say stuff like that. If you have a good explanation for doubting the Wii, then that's fine. But to just say "It doesn't have anything coming," and then not explain your reasons for holding that opinion is a poor way to go about it. :)

Re: September, the month the PS3 takes control

Edited to add: I haven't deleted any of your posts, if that's what you're asking. :)

Re: September, the month the PS3 takes control

The 360 kicked off the March after launch. Oblivion and GRAW hit, and the 360 had an awesome SP and an awesome MP game.

well the wii is now in first place, i guess almost everyone in the world has a DS xD, also the wii will stop selling when everyone (that want it ) has one

Re: September, the month the PS3 takes control

Heavenly Sword, Lair, Killzone, Ratchet and Clank, and has also suggested PS3 versions of Bioshock and Wipeout Fusion

Well, Lair tanked, Killzone and Ratchet and Clank aren't coming out this month, Bioshock and Wipeout Fusion aren't either.

Leaving Heavenly Sword...

Killzone and Ratchet and Clank would have been huge this month, but Halo 3's hype machine rolls on no matter what.
