Why, is that when they finally realize price matters?

Uh...no. Try 5 at most, and before that its still gonna have a decent sized base.fhqwhgads said:Blu-Ray won't be standard for about 10 years or so.
Which it shouldn't. Sad argument, really.
Strubes said:$600 isn't that much if you save up.
Then again, that would mean having a job and/or bank account.
The average person though, would want to spend $600 on something more practical. Also, being that many gamers are kids, $600 is a pretty big deal.Strubes said:$600 isn't that much if you save up.

fhqwhgads said:Right and watch this. Sony drops the price to $300. Tons more people buy PS3's. More developers want to make games for it since it sells. Even more people buy it since it has good games. Even more developers develop since it has more sales. An endless circle, but it shows the whole reason the PS3 isn't doing good is the price.

Except that now they're trying to be casual. Right.Strubes said:Think about what you just said.
Microsoft to my knowledge isn't losing money for every 360 they make. So the price for it really wasn't an issue at all.
The PS3 won't make a ton of profit by lowering it's price. It's a high end system for high end consumers. Nothing casual about it. 8)
