EVO2010 Fighting Game Tournament to be streamed and televised this year!

So there has been so much hype the past 2 days!

In Semi-finals of Super Street Fighter IV there were so many upsets, the biggest one being of course Justin Wong losing to a Pad Zangief player from Nor Cal named Vangief. And then in the last match of the night Wong loses to the Thailand Adon player GamerBee and sends Justin Wong home, a Street Fighter tourney without JWong is so nice to have for once.

So far today Garuu won Melty Blood.
Justin Wong defeated Sanford Kelly to take the last MvC2 tourney of EVO.
Marn takes Tatsunoko vs. Capcom, just barely.
Kayane won the SSFIV Women's Invitational, a very cute French Soul Calibur player, also said to be the best female in Street Fighter by Daigo and he's comparing her to other SF players and not just females.
Snake Eyes takes SSFIITHDR, another pad Zangief player, a first for EVO history.
NIN takes Tekken 6.
MVC3 Exhibition till 12am EST and then finally Super Street Fighter IV Top 8.

Matches for Top 8 SSFIV are:
Winners:
Daigo (Ryu) vs. Mike Ross (E. Honda)
Vangief (Zangief) vs. Ricky O. (Rufus)

Losers:
Henry Cen (Dhalsim, E. Honda) vs. GamerBee (Adon)
Infiltration (Akuma, Juri) vs. Shizza (Chun Li)

I'm personally hoping for Infiltration to take it all. Though GamerBee was destroying tons of people in a high stakes tourney last night in the Salty Suite. On a side note Daigo won against Arturo "Sabin" Sanchez in a $500 Money Match, a rematch from last year which Arturo won.

Damn I missed it, a pad player getting pretty far though, nice ;D

Sessler and Killian? Dammit I shoulda watched it :-X

Shizza and Henry Cen tied for 7th place.
Vangief takes 6th.
GamerBee takes 5th.
Mike Ross takes 4th.
Infiltration takes 3rd.
Ricky Ortiz takes 2nd.
And Daigo takes it home to Japan for a second year in a row.

EVO 2010 was tons better than 09, with so many upsets in early pools and top 32 for SSFIV. I was personally upset that John Choi didn't make top 8 in either SSFIV and HDR. And there were a bunch of drop stream moments especially in SSFIV Top 8, including the final match between Daigo and Ricky Ortiz, meaning almost 40k people watching online missed the final match. Can't wait for EVO Japan in a few months!

I made a mistake, Henry Cen tied for 7th and Vangief took 6th.

I just hate seeing Rufus vs. Ryu in Grand Finals.... Would much rather have seen Daigo vs. Infiltration at Grands. Korea's Champ vs. Japan's. That would have been amazing.

Also Snatcher, I think the Juri that you saw might have been Neo, who made top 16.
