Fable (Xbox) release date

thing is that I could have my games 2 days early if I lived in CA.

I have a couple suppliers out of there..... and they said if I lived there, I could personally pick up the items if I wished.
My next closest is in New York. I used to get games early or same day for release.... but my Ohio supplier moved... and they suck now anyway :(

Business can suck at times.

You start as a child, do a few things, then you become a teenager, do a few more things (mostly training here), then you're an adult and free to go wherever.

Ah. That's good, because having to live all the child years would be boring. I heard that the game doesn't have the interaction level advertised. Is that true?

I have a few fables left if anyone is interested in them :) $50 shipped 1st class or $53 shipped priority mail.

I am working on better shipping methods..etc... ITs going to take a little time. I finally got the tax problem fixed with my shopping cart. ::D

Anyway, if anyone wants one.. I have them :)

I don't understand what you mean by interaction level

I've been hearing disappointing things about Fable.

One thing I've heard is that you can beat it in 13 hours and that's even doing sidequests and working on the character. The person whose review I read stated that Fable is more of a hack-n-slash action rpg, simular to Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance, and should have been placed in that genre, where it would have been seen as a really good game, instead of placing it in the "epic" rpg genre, where people are going to play it and be disappointed because 13 hours isn't epic.

Fable is Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance, without the mutliplayer mode that gave you company to make the hack-and-slash more bearable. You develop a character that no one else is ever going to see in a world that's built on rails and divided into zones that take too long to load to make their unimaginative content really worth the wait, with the whole system combining to make it impossible to really and truly explore much of anything. Sure, you can go wherever you want, as long as that's where the game developers wanted you to go anyway.

If any of that is true though, that actually to me might make it more worth picking up. I had been on the fence because I haven't had the time lately to sink into games. If I can get through Fable in under 20 hours, that's pretty cool. With the tremendous amount of quality games coming out in the next few weeks, the fact that Fable is a disappointment is almost a relief. I could get it and be done with it before Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne comes out. :D

Well, BV has it coming for me (I hope). If it sucks, I'll just sell it. If its good, then there is no problem. I hope I like it, since I was really looking forward to this game.

I personally think it's a great game. I know lots of people are complaining about it, but that's because a lot of things that were said to be in Project Ego are no longer. There's a lot of things that were said to be in Fable that are also no longer. People with modded Xbox's have looked at the files on the disk and said that most of them are not used, half the stuff is unfinished, and all the dev stuff is still there.

They're rumoring on a Fable 1.5, and I think I might have to agree with them. Why else would you make a singleplayer game Live! Aware? Unless you use the game for a chat client to talk to your friend while playing or something (never used Live! before, so I could be just making stuff up) there's no need (other than for DLC).

chronicles of Riddick is Live Aware. Live Aware is just so you can be playing a singleplayer game and be able to see that iceman287 wants to play Pandora Tommorrow with you.

Ahh. Well if I got Live! I'd prolly only use it for the DLC since I'm to horrible at all my Xbox games to make the online multiplayer worthwhile.
