Factor 5 Criticizes ESRB ratings system...

All I can say about that article is bravo. The ESRB can be downright strange sometimes, and this guy really seemed to nail some of the stranger parts of the ratings process.

He also says he wants lots of sex in games. Just because otherwise it says only children play games. That's not remotely true.

That isn't entirely off-base. Sex shouldn't necessarily be avoided in video games like it often is today, but I don't agree that not having sex shows only children play games.

Sex sells. Some developers I'm sure are using that to their advantage. Although sex doesn't make a good game the same way graphics don't make a good game.

garbage

the rating system is great

it informs parents what their children are playing, and it explains everything thats in the game

The rating system's alright....but far from perfect. The ratings for some are odd. (Mature being for 17 and older, a rating that's Everyone 10 and older).

It doesn't make sense though...like in Lair, you can kill hundreds of people at once by setting them on fire, and that's a T rated game as long as they don't put blood in...that makes sense. ::)

Isn't more sex just going to cause more political problems that hold no ground?

And Hillary Clinton and everyone else who doesn't realize the problem is the parents not caring?
