Fanboyism PSA - E3 highlights/lowlights

E3 is here, which means news aplenty from Sony, MS, and Nintendo.

It hasn't happened yet, but this time of year tends to bring out the extremism in fanboys.

So this year, let's try to keep it peaceful.

If you are excited about a game or announcement, please do post about it. Spread your enthusiasm. :D

See something you're disappointed in? That's ok too. Post about that and give legitimate reasons. :)

BUT! Don't bash anyone else for what they were excited about and what they were disappointed with. Everyone has different taste in games, so let's respect that.

Right.

The best thing to remember is this: You are entitled to your own opinion. You are NOT, however, entitled to your own facts.

Yeah it was just driving me nuts on other boards. On the IGN boards, people were already like, "Microsoft's conference sucked. Now it's turn for Nintendo to pwn." And I'm just like OMG you know I like Nintendo as much as everyone but you haven't even seen their conference yet! :lol

SEGA ROOLZ!! :rockin

Fanboyism is bound to happen, no matter how hard we try to put a lid on it. But if anything gets out of hand, which I doubt it will, I am sure we as a community could control it.

I wish Nintendo would have announced some kind of service where you could download demos and trailers. They should seriously follow MS's example as far as that goes. I mean if I could go and download trailers for Metroid, SSBB, and SMG on the Wii, maybe it wouldn't be so bad that they didn't really cover them at the press conference.

The Marketplace is great, but there is a serious lack of new content flowing in. Most games only get their official trailers uploaded to the marketplace, and demos come out very rarely it seems.

Well, having trailers is still something. Plus, even though we don't get new demos too often, there's still a good amount on marketplace and some demos are better than none..
