Far Cry for free

I snagged Far Cry. Nothing more then a few McDonalds ads here and there, only at loading screens.

Unfortunatly, my game keeps crashing every 15-20 minutes.
 
And their torrents.

Funnily enough, if you run FRAPS in the background, the advertisements don't come up.
 
The point is that Far Cry wasn't legally free until now.

It doesn't matter whether torrenting is legal or not. That wasn't the point.

You're 150 mhz below the minimum speed requirement, you have double the minimum RAM, and your card needs hardware transform and lighting, and 3D acceleration.

Go to www.srtest.com, and look for Far Cry on the list, and see what it tells you. Depending on your video card, you might pull low settings with aa indecent framerate.
 
It doesn't appear to me that FarCry, or any other game on this list, is free. They cost points, it looks like. Am I reading everything right?
