What is your favorite GBA game of all time?

Im thinking about getting a new one, and just wanted some ideas.

The ones that I have played the most are probably Metroid: Zero Mission and Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow.

Final Fantasy I & II: Dawn of Souls and Zelda: The Minish Cap seem to be must-play type games as well.

My favorite GBA game is without a doubt Golden Sun.

But Metroid Fusion and WarioWare are runner-ups.

Golden Sun is definitley my favorite so far, but I have only played about 10 games..

Mai, since you have both Fusion and Zero Mission, can you explain to me why you like Fusion better?

Personally, I had a lot of problems with Fusion (not playwise, but problems liking it), but absolutely dug Zero Mission.

I like Fusion better because it was really hard for me. I mean, really, really, hard. I had so much trouble with it. It took me a looooong time to beat it. But when I did, it was the hugest sense of accomplishment that any game has ever given me.

Zero Mission had difficult parts but overall it wasn't as difficult and so I didn't get the same sense of accomplishment when I beat it.

I guess I just prefer Zero Mission because it falls in line more with Metroid (original) and Super Metroid (III)...

I didn't like the linearity of Fusion with the computer telling you where to go and locking sections off. I felt that it didn't leave enough exploration opportunities. Plus, no ice beam and the graphics for the wave beam were kinda silly. And having to run after x-parasites to fill up on life etc. etc...

Then again, even Zero Mission didn't quite live up to Super Metroid for me (though I did like the updated graphics and music).

Anyhow, I guess that many thought it was a good game. Comparing it to other Metroid games kindof detracts from it.

Which one would you pick for me to buy? I have golden sun but of the other two which one would be more fun for me.

Metroid Fusion, Zelda Minish Cap, either Golden Sun, Advanced Wars2, and Tony Hawk's Underground were all worth the money. Wario Ware was great too but way too short.

Metroid: Zero Mission!! It was a metroid that was easier to use than the previous incarnations, it kept my attention with the cool classic characters with new innovative ideas, and it switched up gameplay enough to really be cool.

ok thanks for the reply. I will try to get my hands on it soon.
I have been playing Super Mario Advance 2, so when I beat it I will most likely buy a new gba game.

Re: GBA
