Favorite Holiday

My favorite holiday is Halloween. First half of the night I make tacos, then I go out and get loot (I may be 17, but I cannot resist the call of the candy *loud shrill candy call* My god...they have come already?!?!) Then I come home and watch horror movies and the twilight zone all night. While watching I suck down a few mountain dews and a bunch of candy.

I know it's going to seem cliche, but my favorite is Christmas. Not because of the presents--although that is nice--but because of how many people it brings together. It's the one day of the year that I get to see most of my family all at once. :) Plus I just love picking out Christmas trees and decorating them, and I love listening to Christmas music on the radio. Some of my favorite songs are Christmas songs and I keep them special by only listening to them in December. Another thing I enjoy is driving around the neighborhood and seeing people's Christmas lights. Some people do really amazing things with their yards. :)

Same here. It's a tie for Christmas and Halloween though. You'll find awesome movie and tv specials on tv for each one, which are fun to watch every year. For Christmas this past year, since it was the first of my new apartment...I had my Christmas tree in the corner...with the Christmas Music channel on my tv, listening to the music....I would pass out each night :lol. For Halloween, the atmosphere is awesome. I'm a huge horror movie buff so I love to see all the movies they have on, along with Scooby Doo movies and specials...and Alvin and the Chipmunks. I also like taking my 7 year old sister out trick or treating. :)

I guess I am weird, because I loathe Christmas. It's not the gift giving, it's not the music, it's the greed that it brings out in some people. A few years back, Wally World was selling DVD players for almost nothing. The Tucson Police Department was called in because families were getting into fist fights over a stupid DVD player. Same thing when those stupid Tickle Me Elmos first hit the shelves. Parents brawling over the last one. Horrible.

Holloween is a come-and-go event for me. My kids go to the mall to trick-or-treat because they get more candy. Otherwise it passes like any other night. When my kids are much older, I'll throw a holloween party for them and their friends to make it a better event for them.

I actually love Independence Day. Nothing like barbequing with friends and family and blowing off a ton of illegal fireworks (Thank you South Carolina!!) all night. This last holiday, My wife and kids and I went to a buddy of mine's house. We had a blast (Especially my son, who had a bottle rocket explode at his feet). The parades are great too. As well as the public fireworks display throughout the weekend.

I guess Christmas. I mean it seems sorta sad and happy at the same time, but I like that my fam all gets togather. I love the pine smell of the tree, and the warmness inside when it is snowy outside, and I like the stockings that have dumb pointless junk in them. I don't realy care about geting X-Mas gifts that much though.

I also love Haloween though, cuz most of you know, I do love dressing up different ways.

But Thanksgiving is awesome too. A huge yummy meal while hanging out with fam, and we always watch ET on Thanksgiving for some reason...even though the Holiday portrayred in E.T. was Haloween lol.

Christmas tiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiime is heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeere.

Oh yeah, who can forget the huge Christmas dinners? My mom makes the best deviled eggs! And there's always other good stuff, too.

I love everything about christamas except the food. But that is quickly made up for the fact that you get an excuse to kiss pretty girls :drool

Mistletoe much Boom?

I agree with most people here, it a really big tie between Halloween and Cristmas, though both are WAY to diffrent. During Halloween it usally just feels so nice outside, the weather is getting to where I enjoy it, and I don't do much other then rent a couple of scary movies and play Silent Hill or something, and I've watched Nightmare Before Christmas on every Halloween AND X-Mas scince it came out on VHS O_o

Do I really need to say whats awesome about Christmas?

Halloween and Christmas. I love Easter too because the weather is good and it's usually near my birthday, and Valentines is good if you have someone to share it with.

Guy Fawkes Day, November 5th. England is the only country that truely celebrates it the way it should be celebrated though.

Look, this is the US and we don't have a holiday where the main focus is to burn someone in effigy, so if I think it's very interesting and cool, it is, end of story. So :P

Who are we burning?? Guy Fawkes tried to blow up the English king and most of Parlament. So I guess they celebrate him being executed and whatnot.

The 4th of July celebrates American Independence. Whoa. They are similar in a way... :o
