Favourite FPS

Its definitley not as good as the pc version, but I really like Unreal Tournament on ps2. Its not the greatest FPS but it is the only one I have and therefore my favorite.

Yeah, they killed it from the PC version. Same with Unreal Championship for the Xbox.
 
It's basically UT2k3 with almost no maps, only a few character choices, laggy multiplayer, horrible framerates, weapons that all look the same (still act same as UT2k3, but look almost exactly like the others), bots that can shoot you w/out being able to see you, etc.

If you want one for Xbox, wait until Unreal Championship 2 comes out.

I think FPS games on consoles suck, because of the controller. I guess its because Im used to the mouse and keyboard? Well IMO FPS games are best played on PC. The only problem with PC is the graphics cards, etc to run the game smoothly ya' know?
 
really? I didnt know that. Oh well Im still going to stick with pc. I love the graphics and the multiplayer too much to change over to ps2.

Yeah the graphics on PC is normally the best out of any console, and some multiplayer games are good and dont require you to buy another piece like PS2 and Xbox. Besides you can take screenshots, makes videos, etc on PC, that's another reason why I like it over the consoles.

Also, I only play FPS games on PC other than that its on consoles, like NFSU.
 
I haven't played any FPS on the PS2. I don't like the controller for it. But I did like the demo of Killzone that I played. I will probably pick that up once it goes down in price.
 
yeah thats the one reason I think pc dominates in FPS. The ps2 controller is great for many games but definitely hard to get used to for fps. On UT for ps2 there are 8 different controller configs. The sad thing is I couldnt get used to any of them.
 
My favorite 1st person shooter is probably KillZone or XIII or Medal of Honor Frontline, I cant decide outta those 3.
