Was I seeing things?? The other day while at EB Games, I saw some gold boxes on a display end cap. Final Fantasy XI. Was it just a promo thing, suggesting that it will be soon?? I wasn't sure because they had price tags on them. Am I just nuts and wishfull thinking was kicking in?? Does anyone know??

Maybe it was eleven. But I didn't even know that it was released because the one everyone still talks about is ten. And I don't subscribe to any game magazines, so I didn't know either way.

Im guessing its twelve because eleven was already released. It even came with a hard drive. Eleven was also an MMORPG. You were able to play it online.

Possibly. It was in a gold colored box, and it was $29.99. I only got a glance at it being that I was in a hurry to get out of the store. Do you know if it's worth buying??

thats a low price to put on a new game, especially an FF game. Hmm, Ill look it up.

So I take it that at $30 it is worth it?? Or is it a Massively Mundane Online Role Playing Game?? :D

That's the Final Fantasy XI Vana'diel Collection. It includes FFXI, both expansions, 30 days free for you, 30 days free for a friend, TetraMaster (card game from FFIX, but online and an extra $1 a month), a card to download the theme to FFXI from iTunes for free (I think it expired, though I've never tried), an advertisement for the Vana'diel clock that is making a comeback this November, and some manuals and stuff. I got it last night from Circuit City (check online, it's listed on their website but the price labels weren't changed in my store) for $19.99.

As soon as I get my debit card, you guys will never see me again unless you join FFXI as well.

Wow all that for twenty bucks? I think I might get this.

Okay, so I guess it's something I should be interested in?? I like FFX, and as soon as I get finished with that I think I will go for FFX-2.

If creepin gets it, you could always ask to use his friend pass. It allows you to download the game (I hope you have broadband... it's more than 2GB) and play free for 30 days.

Nope. Dial-up. It'll take a month for me to DL 2 gigs. :lol

Well, I'm in. My character is a male Hume black mage, Fenrir server, and started in Bastok. His name is (as with all game like this that I play) Fumdyyen.
