Final Fantasy 2

With III and V coming out and out, I want to play all the FF games pretty much. So there's the question of II, which I tried to play some years ago and then dropped because I hated the system and didn't know what to do. So my question is, is this game worth going through, and do you guys know good ways to do well in the battle system?

I have it, and honestly I don't know yet. I have never finished Final Fantasy 1 :( But FF2 is so bizzare. However, did introduce the Chocobo to the series! For some reason, from what I'm seeing, is the characters don't level..just their skills

FF1 was pretty quick Mega! Go through it already! I did it in 2 days. Of course...I did nothing else for those 2 days. Yeah, the leveling system for II is funnnnky. Supposedly there's a way to cheat it by just holding the A button down during a battle and setting things up a certain way though.

Does that mean the game's worth playing?

the new guy has a point. I'm sure it's a solid game and whenever i finish 1, I'll definitely jump into 2

Are you refering to FF2 for the Nintendo or the Americian FF2 for the Super Nintendo Which is actually FF IV.

Final Fantasy 2 as part of the "Final Fantasy I&II Dawn of Souls"...so to answer properly, the real 2 that was originally released on Japanese Famicom (NES) and was remade, then re-released on PS1 and GBA

ok, I really liked the games, but I really liked Final Fantasy on the Nintendo. So I would say, if you liked FF on the Nintendo, buy it, otherwise, wait until the DS version or FF V comes out.
