I hope this is much improved over FFIII (major SNOREfest)
i sadly couldn't get it today, but i'm sure i will get it around this weekend or something like that, i can't wait to put my hands on this very challenging game, (which is supposed to be more difficult than the original/GBA versions of FFIV)
Starrynite said:Whoa, what, zomg, that is not good. Well I wont be getting this. Is there any FF game that is somewhat easy?
final fantasy fables for DS XD.
Starrynite said:If it doesnt involve Chocobos or anything dealing with "a mainstream FF game with chocobos" then I will look into it...
How was revenant wings, easy!?
Starrynite said:Honestly? well my last hope for an FF game will be a remake of FF 7 on the DS, and of course FF13 for my PS3.
FF 7 better be easy and FF13 better be easy.
I will try to convinve my brother to get FF4 since he did beat FF3. And I hope it doesnt invole going against 4 bossses, and then facing a final boss will 1 million HP and if you lose you have to face all 4 bosses again!!!!!
Starrynite said:Im going to write a letter to Square Enix and inquire why they make the games so hard. It drives people like me away cause we are at a disadvantage to other players. I dont want to have to use a FAQ to go through every FF game I played. It is such a burden
Starrynite said:The easiest RPG was Tales of Symphonia (beat in 6 months) and Tales of Eternia (beat in 2 years).
I would wager Pokemon as being difficult as 80 hours to get to the Elitest 4 is quite a time committment.
RPGs are meant to be fun and expansive experiences in romance, storytelling, drama, and suspense. Not a Challenge. The challenge hampers the story, thus the game becomes unenjoyable. FF doesnt do this well, too much story and lackluster gameplay makes it a snorefest. only a few elite select people are able to enjoy the FF and discover this nugget.
Starrynite said:No I wouldnt say hardcore gamers. I know tons of people who have only played FF games and they only play those around the time that they were released and then stopped. They arent hardcore if they are just playing them for when they release then put them down.
-----
An RPG is driven by the story, a weak story that is inaccessible due to challenge doesnt drive the story, thus the RPG is bad. The equation is out of equilibrium. FF games may have these elements but it is extremeley unbalanced. Trying to jam too much story in a space in which the gameplay is as sparce as a needle in a haystack. FF is too difficult to the average consumer, only these select people can get over the barrier in time to actually find the main conflict in the story and continue.
----------------------------
Tales, I only play on highest difficulty and even then it is hilariously easy. The story is accesible at the start, the conflict apparent, and the gameplay is as common as there are enemies. FF differs in, not enough fighting, too much story, and difficult to pass these few sparse battles thus the story is inaccesible, the RPG cant be driven, and it becomes a snorefest.
Are you seriously crying because a game might present a small challenge at some point?Starrynite said:Whoa, what, zomg, that is not good. Well I wont be getting this. Is there any FF game that is somewhat easy?
Starrynite said:Games=Fun=No Challenge. That is my general philosophy on the type of games I look for to buy.
