Hi All,

In your opinion, which Final Fantasy title did you find the hardest,if any?
It might sound crazy, but for me it was "FF1" for the NES.Those bloody "Gas Dragons" in Chaos' crib and their damn Poison breath attack usually meant lights out,not to mention the "War Mechs" in Tiamat's lair.

I'm certain quite a few will disagree with me,but I think some of today's RPG'S pamper the gamer.A good example would be "FF7".Don't get me wrong, the game certainly has its fair share of nasty monsters, but most fights are ended with only one strike of your sword.

Regards,

I haven't played all of the Final Fantasys, but I will say that out of the few I have played enough to judge from, FF1 or FF11 (:lol only really cause I don't quite understand what to do).

i have played all the final fantasy games but 11 and crisis core (and the spin-off for the gbc) and the hardest final fantasy yet is final fantasy III for DS and NES. simply brutal

I own all of them for playstation, VII through X-2 (didnt like XI's concept at all and do not have XII), I have enjoyed every single one. My favorite was Tactics and the hated one for me was VIII. None of them are actually "difficult" once you figure out the mechanics of the game but VIII for me was not my fav at all. I didn't get into the story (stopped playing shortly after starting) and was turned off by it

I will agree with a lot of other people III on DS was pretty difficult. I liked the game a lot, but it was hard. My favorite one was VIII, but it wasn't too hard.

Hardest one for me was IV for GBA, but thats because I havent played any other FF's besides IV and XII

The storylines are all amazing, at least the ones I've played. But the gameplay is boring to me.

good to know however that's not the point of the thread

According to the thread title, I'm supposed to give my opinion on the Final Fantasy series.

acording to the opening statement you are suposed to say wich is the hardest, that's the opinion you are suposed to give, read the thread please.

now, i think FFIII is going to lose as the hardest because i heard the FFIV DS remake will have different boss strategies to make them a bit harder, and boy even the GBA version was hard i can't imagine this one, oh well is better for me and my love for strategy, besides gotta love the new gameplay features

FFX. Threw my controller many times.

I think
Yunalesca
was the hardest fight in that one, personally. That, and creatures in the Omega Ruins, but only because of the status effects.

After leveling up like crazy in the Omega Ruins, though,
Jecht, all the summon spirits, and the final boss (Yu Yevon I think was his name) were easy as pie.

But I'd still give overall difficulty to FFIII. ^_^

I've always had trouble with IX. I'm probably just not very good at it. First time I couldn't beat the final boss in a Final Fantasy game...

Yes, he was the hardest final boss I've ever faced, but the one who gave me the most satisfaction from beating.

Hmmm

I'd have to say FFVII was difficult for me mostly because of the Weapons. I never did beat those. I just had to give up.

Oddly enough, FFX-2 was hard, not because it was particularly difficult, but by god I was going to get the perfect ending if I had to restart my game over (which I did ... more than once) just to get that stinking 100% completion stat. I wanted to kick my own behind more times than I'd like to admit because I'd forget to talk to ONE STINKING PERSON in a chapter and it would screw up my percentage. Gyabou!!!
