Final Fantasy's on psp?

I really dont know :-\

If they wanted to make it for psp they would find a way, even if it would mean compromising the game.

thanks! Does the psp have the power to play something like ff7?

Of course it does. The problem is it will have to come on a lot of UMD's. They dont hold as much as CD's and FFVII already uses three of them.

I thought UMDs used a dual layer laser burner like DVDs to offset the loss in memory storage from the reduction in size (maybe i was wrong).

I dont know about that honestly. Ill look into it, since UMD's use MPEG-4 instead of MPEG-2. They make the files smaller than a DVD, plus it still doesnt have enough room for extras. Interesting point there Malachi, oh and welcome to the boards. Glad you can join us and post.

I definately know they could. The PSP is just as powerful as, if not more powerful than, the PS2, so it's more than possible for them to do so. With the lower resolution of a PSP in comparison to a standard TV (about half the vertical resolution), it wouldn't be hard to get most of the data on one 1.8GB UMD. And if not, it's probably extremely easy to make a game on two UMDs.

I believe the resolution is better than a TV screen even though it's smaller. Im still looking into it though.

A TV is 640x480. PSP is 480x272. The PSP just looks nicer than a standard TV because it's LCD and probably a much higher quality signal than regular cable.
