Finally started work

I finally started work on Friday at Little Caesars. I'm only making $6 an hour, but that's fine with me. I'm working 37 hours this week alone. I guess that's alot compared to the other recently hired there. Wish me luck. I'm putting at least $150 from each paycheck in the bank. The rest is for...well...games. :D

My first pay check is going to be around $250 even with taxes taken out (cause I'm closing some nights and punching in early too). :)

I don't think I'll be making that much any time soon. Unless I do get a job in the army, but if I don't I'll probally have to manage on $100 a week. :-\

I make pizzas. And...Well, if we make the pizzas in our own time while we're there, they're free. Soooo just let me know. :lol

@Auron...nah, mine's not in a K-mart.

I think I would of went pizza crazy if that's what I ate all week. :-\

Is it easy to make the pizza? You be in the back tossin' it up, etc?

nah. you make it the day before and then you grab a ball of it and run it through this machine that flattens it and you put it in the pan and put the crap on it. Thats how we did it anyway. But I threw it around just for fun and invented tricks and stuff cuz we were barely ever busy.

Wow, minimum wage here is $7.55/hour.

Of course, it just went up to that, and we have one of the highest minimum wages in Canada, and our dollar is worth slightly less than the American one. Even so, I pull in about $600 a paycheck (I get more than minimum wage), but after living expenses it doesn't leave much for games. I'm workin on getting into a better paying job at the moment, but no luck so far.

I got a couple friends who work on drilling rigs and service rigs and stuff. Starting wage on those is like $14/hour and you can easily move up to $21 or $25/hour once you get three months experience or something. Plus they get a lot of over time so you can easily pull in about $1200 a paycheck. The downside, they work hard, really hard.  :lol

Well, minimum wage here is $5.25 (ish), but Governer lady just passed a bill or something to raise it eventually up to $7.25 or something like that in a few years.

Yeah, here in California it's $6.75. Not nearly enough to live off of.
