Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon for DS

So, what is the general consensus on this game, worth getting?

it's a good place to start... if you haven't blazing swords. (aka the american fire emblem)

I had to restart once I got to the final mission I didn't have enough strong people. I'm going to focus on people other than Marth, Cain, Wolf, Tiki, Minerva, Navarre, Lena and Linde . I have never made that mistake in a FE game before! I normally have a well rounded team at the end

and does anyone know how to get Jake in chapter 11? (funny how this is my 11th post talking about the number 11)

visit a village where Anna is and then talk to him with Caeda

Ok thanks! I'll have to do that and hopefully Caeda wont get shot down in the process!

Just bought it last night. Wow! It's good! How many levels are in it? I'm on 7.

i think it was like 24 or 25 i don't remember Xd but i need to replay this soon

Why does this game constantly get horrible reviews compared to the other FE games? What I have noticed is that people who have not played other FE games seem to like it, whereas old time fans loathe this game, for the most part.

because it takes away features from the newest FE games.....however this is supposed to be more of a port/remake so it was necessary to take some new features away... in my opinion it balanced out the game perfectly so there was still a challenge to be had.

This may not be a PoR but it still is pretty good in it's own right. I thought it had a retro feel to it.

It should, since it's a remake of the very very first Fire Emblem ^^

Well maybe I'll pick it up after I beat FE for GBA, which I am liking quite a bit.

I recommend also to get Path of Radiance for the gamecube and Radiant dawn for the wii (however do not pick radiant dawn if you have not played Path of Radiance)

and yeah it's the retro feel that got me hooked into it as well

Maybe im just a bitter old twit, but I thought this game was a piece of- wait, what? Who wrote this rhyme? But seriously, the only place in this game where I felt I got value of it was that awesome prolouge. Everything else was like being pelted with fecal matter. There isnt even a Shadow Dragon in the game for christs sake. Online play was alright though.
