Firmware 2.42 is ready!

Thats cool and thanks for the heads up once again since I didn't even know it was out. What playback functions does it help though with the Sony software from version 2.41? Mine has been acting fine actually except for some really slow download times in the PS store.

So that was the only reason for the Patch? Slow videos? I would of figured they would of waited till they needed something else done to have done that but it is cool that they are patching their system so fast. Keeps the console up and running and up to date I guess.
 
I still need to update mine, Im too lazy to set it up at home since i move in to my apartment on saturday, I guess I will do it then and watch as my free space on my hard drive gets lower. :(
 
The release notes stated videos under the tech link i could have though, regardless, just another minor update,

What I am more psyched about is experiencing "Life With Playstation"!!! Any known release date other than "August 2008"?
