Free Mew Pokemon for Gold and Silver owners for 10th Anniversary!

MegaDrive20XX

Segatron Genesis... call me the wizard.
Pokémon and Nintendo celebrate the 10th anniversary of Pokémon Gold and Silver by releasing the original secret Pokémon into the wild for a limited time. Here's what you need to do to score Mew.

Game Freak programmer Shigeki Morimoto secretly programmed Mew into the Red and Blue versions of Pokémon prior to the release of those games in Japan. Intended as a secret accessible only by developers, glitches in Red, Blue, and Yellow allowed players to encounter the pink feline creature. Mew became a sensation, propelling the games to even greater heights of success.

Mew has never been a regularly occurring Pokémon in the franchise, available only through special distribution events, like the one Nintendo and Pokémon are holding this month.

In honor of the 10th anniversary of Pokémon Gold and Silver, Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver owners will be able to obtain Mew over their Wi-Fi connection using the Mystery Gift option. From October 15 to October 30, logging into the service will score players a level five Mew stored inside a Cherish Ball with a Premier Ribbon. As long as they have less than three Wonder Cards in their game, Mew will be theirs.

Pokémon fans mark your calendars!

Sweet!! I'm excited. I've never had a Mew in any of my games.

But, what is a Wonder Card? How would I know if I have less than three?

A Wonder Card is sent together with a Mystery Gift, and it usually provides detail for the gift the player has received. Players who have three Wonder Cards already stored in their copy of Diamond, Pearl or Platinum cannot receive a new one, and should choose to delete used Wonder Cards before receiving another Mystery Gift. Also, discarded cards can never be retrieved.
Gifts with which Wonder Cards are bundled can be received from a deliveryman who waits in any Poké Mart. If a card is deleted before the gift is received in a Poké Mart, the gift will be deleted as well.
Obtained Wonder Cards can be viewed by accessing Mystery Gift from Pokémon Diamond's, Pokémon Pearl's, Pokémon Platinum's HeartGold's or SoulSilver's main menu (if it has already been unlocked), and selecting the "Check Card" option. Wonder Cards contain such information as the name of the bundled gift, whether or not the player has already received the gift before, the in-game event caused by the Pokémon, the date the gift was received in the game, and a brief description of the gift; an icon of the associated Pokémon is also displayed for further identification.
Some Wonder Cards may also be used via DS Wireless Connection, enabling a player with an event to distribute the card for the event to players that do not yet have it.

And on that note...I give you...the ultimate gamer band...

I know when you go in the game there's an option to test WiFi settings on the main menu, but I've never had trouble with it.

And I got mine :D He's lvl 5 to start.

Just have a wifi connection you can connect to. It's an option on the main menu "Mystery Gift"

I've only got like 2 hours on my game so there's no length or anything you need.

Finally got Mew yesterday! I've already leveled it up to 22. :lol I discovered I hadn't fought any of the trainers in the National Park, so that helped a lot.

What are some recommended move sets (legit please!) for Mew? Mew's stats seem pretty balanced, and I know Mew can learn almost everything.
