I hope it does get a release.
Imagination Is The Only Escape purports to tell the story of a young Jewish boy who must regularly flee into his own imagination in order to cope with the horrors he sees surrounding him in Nazi-occupied Germany. Although illustrated in a 2-D cartoonish style, the game is extremely serious in its tone and treatment of its subject matter, prominently featuring many grisly real-world facts about the Holocaust and resembling in many ways the multiple-Oscar-winning film Life Is Beautiful.
The truth however may simply be that Nintendo is justifiably nervous about the game's premise and needs a little convincing to feel reassured that the serious subject matter will be handled with tact and dignity.
I hope it does get a release.
