Here are the official details of the 1st Game Addict's Review Contest. 

I will be the "official" judge for the review..... BUT help will be extended through the mods that want to help... and we will all vote on our favorites.
You will send the reviews to: sales@egameaddiction.com

** reviews should look like this: http://www.egameaddiction.com/GameAddicts/GameReviews/GameReviews.htm
This is a prime example of a review.  I would like to see each one of the attributes covered in a paragraph.  There are 6 attributes as listed below.

These features cannot be a guess, and must be included:

Publisher:  
# of players:  
Released: 

Code: 
  
Control:
Difficulty: 
Game play: 
Graphics: 
Sound: 
Addiction Factor:

Those attributes will be rated out of 10.... the highest being 10/10.... the lowest 1/10 (duh :lol ).  You cannot miss 1 attribute.

** The reviews can cover ANY system from the NES to the Present..... including the PC.  I might even consider from games as far back as the magnavox Odyssey.

** Only serious applications will be accepted. Joke or mock reviews will not be accepted as many of the reviews will be used on the www.egameaddicts.com site.

** no cussing, profanity, foul language, racist remarks, or anything else against the board rules will be allow.  Reviews of this nature will be thrown out.

** Rip off another person's review = off with your head.  In other words... DO YOUR OWN WORK!

** The reviews will be rated on content, grammar, spelling, and conciseness as well (that is... being able to put a good review into fewer words).

** For this contest, only 1 review per person will be accepted..... so please do make it your best one.

Contest Start 07-27-04.  The Contest will Send October 01, 2004 at 12:00 am.  This should give you plenty of time to get your review done, proofread, and submitted :) (a little over 2 months).

[The winner] will receive: 1 free game from the following list(tentative list, might be some change or some added):
Zelda: 4 swords New (with GBA link cable) - Gamecube
Metal Slug 3 New - Xbox

[The runner-up] will receive: $15 gift certificate to the Game Addiction shop www.egameaddiction.com/store

more might be added soon if needed.
Ask questions if you need to, they will be addressed.

I am still working on the rules and format.

I wanted it done by now... but with getting these boards around and ready for the launch... and working on them and tweaking them... the contest has fell to the side for the moment... I am about half done with the rules..etc.. They are not in depth rules.... I just want to make them as concise and accurate as possible..... so there are not a lot of questions as to whats going on....etc.

I think I would rather be a judge. While I love writing reviews... I'm just not in the mood for it at the moment.

I'm in. This could actually be really fun. Although, I'd almost rather be given a game to review than choose my own. I also like the idea of being able to participate in something on your actual website instead of just the forums.

I'll do a review, though I doubt it will be very good. Please do't make me choose my own though, I hate choices. Give me a dictatorship anyday :p.

yes it is.... I am still drawing up the plans... and a few things are on hold.

Trust me... it will happen. Just a few things on this end that has got me tangled up at the moment. Once I get things straightened away.. we are a go :)

Oh oh! Yay! I will start on the Halo review. And I just want to say that anyone else who wants to review Halo should, as well. Don't you always like it when reviews are from more than one person? :)

And....I definitely will do a review for Tales of Symphonia once I play through it fully.
