Gamecube Or SNES?

I'm on the fence here and need some input. With the money that I won today I'm tempted to buy a used Gamecube with "Mario Kart:Double Dash"($70) or a SNES with 6 titles.($40).I'm leaning toward the SNES.

Any thoughts?

Sincerely,
Kaz

Save for a Wii. You get backwards compatibility with the GameCube and Virtual Console which includes SNES. :D

That certainly sounds attractive.

Because of it's collectable value you mean x2?

That's reading a lot into his reply of "SNES". The SNES was not rare enough to have collector value.

The system was, however, what I consider to be a great era in gaming.

The GameCube is no slouch either.

I have an SNES still hooked up to my TV, but bought my parents a Gamecube.

Where you live,do they charge more for used Gamecube games than they do with PS2 titles?

No, it's just the only option that makes sense for you. Gamecube has a very small amount of RPG's whereas the SNES has tons of them.
