UK, August 7, 2007 - Having already removed the PSone version of MediEvil from the PlayStation Network, Sony has now confirmed it's withdrawn both Spyro the Dragon 2 and Crash Bandicoot 2 due to technical problems - including unplayable levels and consistent crashing.

Over the next ten days, Sony will inform those who downloaded the titles originally of when the issues are expected to be sorted. An official statement on the PlayStation forums reads: "We are currently investigating the reports of issues associated with MediEvil and Spyro 2. This investigation is highly technical and requires some time to work through. For Crash Bandicoot 2 the situation is more clear as its removal was purely precautionary. We are optimistic that the title will be back in the store shortly."

We'll keep you updated as soon as we hear when these affected games are likely to return to the PlayStation store.

Wow, I didn't even know there were problems with some of the games.

HAHA thats what I was talking about, the pizza hut demos!

Wow, it's so hard to fix it, I bet. They really are technologically ahead. The Wii can have NES, why can't the PS3 have PS1?

That's why you don't. It's not. If Sony is so far ahead of Nintendo in technology, why can't they get a newer game working?

Sony can't get 3 games working that you have to buy from the Playstation Network. That suddenly makes them behind on technology? Last I checked, you could play thousands of non-PS3 games for the PS3. For Nintendo, you can play a couple hundred Gamecube games, and a few hundred games you have to pay to download. Now who's behind in this area again?

Why can't it get the three games working, then? Is it too hard to fix? Probably not for them. They're probably attracting attention for it, then last second, they'll say they magically got it to work, and everyone will just eat it up.

So making sure it gets fixed slower is gonna get them good press? Okay then. :lol
