"Gaming" A Sign Of Immaturity?

I believe it's quite the opposite.Where is it written that if an adult enjoys playing video games that he or she immature?People of all ages have some sort of recreational thing they enjoy.My aunt is 65 and she always plays PC games,and she not immature by any means.Personally,I know more adults that play video games than I do children,but in all fairness,I don't hang out with kids,they annoy me.

Who cares what age you are?Is there something wrong with being a kid at heart?

I don't think so at all. Honestly if somebody says gaming makes you immature then they should say the same about watching movies, reading books, or any other form of mental stimulation. I think people who say that are simply ignorant and do not understand that they make games for both adults AND kids.

Agreed with x2, video games is just another medium that exercises puzzles, story, and logic. I don't see why an interactive medium is considered childish. Maybe because the audience is geared towards children at first? Look at games now. I can give a list of best selling games that are rated M and are quite mature in their own right.

Modern Warfare 2, Bioshock, Silent Hill (series), Resident Evil (series), Half-Life 2, Grand Theft Auto 4, and Metal Gear Solid all come to mind. Not only are these best selling but they are also critically acclaimed. So, adults have been raging the video game scene, not kids. And last time I checked, maturity was required to understand and play these games.

I can see how someone might come to that conclusion. However, I don't agree with it in the slightest. You can be older and play games and act childish but the act of playing games alone is NOT childish. I'll be 29 shortly and I still play and never intend to stop.
