Speaking for myself,I know more adults that play video games than kids ::D

I say the 20-35 range, mostly because they are the ones with jobs to afford a lot of games. ^_^
But, you can also look at it the other way, and say kids have nothing to spend their money on but games, as opposed to adults, who have bills.

True that, and also their parents might buy them games too which adds some more. I would still have to say 20-35 though.

I voted 12-20 because I thought the the question meant something slightly different. But even so, I'd still say 12-20. I know the average gamer is supposedly over twenty, but people aged 12-20 have the most time/disposable cash to buy and play videogames. I know personally I played more video games when I was younger. I play more often with my friends now, and I also play a wider range of games, but I don't sit down with games and play them nearly as much as I used to.

It's a hobby that gets harder to justify indulging as time goes on, both because of time and money. When I was 15 working for just over minimum wage, I bought 1 or 2 games a month. Now I'm lucky if I buy a game once every two or three months.

For me it's kind of the opposite. I play more games now than I did when I was younger. When I was younger I did other things instead of games. Especially in junior high and high school, most of my free time was spent hanging out with friends, and they weren't really into games so we did other things, like listening to music or playing basketball or tag and stuff like that.

Hey! I can quit whenever I want! You're not the boss of me!! I don't need you!! *drops the controller like a bottle of booze* :'( OH GOD! I need help!!! *falls down*

*5 minutes later* Meh, I'll quit tommorrow...*plays Army of Two*...and this time....I mean it mister!!!

*5 weeks later* I'm not in denial!

Yea, same. It seems like now 90% of my time is dedicated to drawing or some other more "important" thing. Man, I miss the days where me and a buddy would literally sit all day and night playing OOT or Goldeneye. I bet at times we played for more then 12 hours. I am lucky if I can stay into a game for more then 3 hours now, lol.

I voted 12-20. Kids don't have as many responsibilities as adults and definitely don't have much to pay in the way of living. Besides, kids are going to be more prone to playing games on the grounds of getting it out of their system before they reach adulthood. Play as much as you can because once you sign that mortgage agreement, you're screwed.

I would guess that teens would prolly play the most games cuz they don't have jobs a lot of the time, and don't have many responsibilities besides school, usually....although young adults do have jobs, sp they can afford games...and look at all the poeople addicted to things like WoW. So...it is kinda hard to say.

Haha, that's kind of weird actually. Junior High was probably the time I spent playing videogames the most. In elementary I played a lot of sports and my family did a lot of stuff together. Junior High was when I quit playing a lot of sports and got really into videogames and reading and things like that. Also I had a job, so i could support my videogaming habits. And then in High School I maintained the status quo of junior high for about a year when I realized I should get out and meet people more. Since then I've kind of struck a healthy balance, although going and socializing more often then not results in playing videogames, especially with the popularity of the wii and guitar hero and stuff like that. Also my money goes to real things, like rent and food and car and school, lol.

It's kind of odd how nearly the exact opposite is true for you, at least in terms of the Junior High thing. :lol

To me this would be very hard to judge. You have the gamers from the 8 & 16 days grown up. I will asume that a lot of them are still gaming. You also have to consider that the Wii is pulling in a lot of people, that have never been gamers, into the fold. Plus you have the younger crowd, some, or many, living off of their parent's games. Its not like the old days when gaming was just for kids. The gaming crowd is larger than it has ever been. This would be very hard to call. But I am leaning toward the older crowd.

I say 12-20.. I don't have as much time for games as I used to. I would get up early on Saturday, watch cartoons, and then play games all day until it was bed time. I can barely play for a few hours at a time anymore.
