Speaking for myself,I know more adults that play video games than kids :

But, you can also look at it the other way, and say kids have nothing to spend their money on but games, as opposed to adults, who have bills.Mai Valentine said:I say the 20-35 range, mostly because they are the ones with jobs to afford a lot of games. ^_^

I know the average gamer is supposedly over twenty, but people aged 12-20 have the most time/disposable cash to buy and play videogames. I know personally I played more video games when I was younger. I play more often with my friends now, and I also play a wider range of games, but I don't sit down with games and play them nearly as much as I used to.
It's a hobby that gets harder to justify indulging as time goes on, both because of time and money. When I was 15 working for just over minimum wage, I bought 1 or 2 games a month. Now I'm lucky if I buy a game once every two or three months.

Mai Valentine said:For me it's kind of the opposite. I play more games now than I did when I was younger. When I was younger I did other things instead of games. Especially in junior high and high school, most of my free time was spent hanging out with friends, and they weren't really into games so we did other things, like listening to music or playing basketball or tag and stuff like that.
