GBA SP Questions

Be good...but if not, don't get caught!
Hi All

I have a couple of questions that maybe somebody knows the answers for????

Is the GBA all region compatible?? ie can I play JP/US/UK games on any GBA??

Also...is there like an adaptor/cart/cable or something that allows one to play gba games on a full sized tv or monitor (not emulators or roms though)?? I only ask as I love Guiardian Heroes Advance but would much rather play it on a bigger screen.

Cheers

Yeah, the GBA is region free, so you can play games from all over the world on it.

As for playing GBA games on a tv, that requires a Gamecube and a GameBoy Player.

Yea, last time I checked the Game boy player was about 50$, so I'm guessing you could a used GB player and Gamecube for around, oh, 120$. The gameboy player is WELL worth the cost, my friend has one and it's like the coolest thing ever.

actually... there is a device for the original GBA.. (not SP) that hooked into the battery pack (so it was a rechargeable and wall/plugged battery)
and it had and a/v & S/V out for the GBA so you could play it on your TV.  No kidding.  It ran $50-80 I believe.

ITs a good device though.  I had one go through the store.

The GBPlayer is a cool device though :D I have one of those.
Although... some games just don't look right on it IE Gradius Galaxies.

I would just go with a Gamecube and the GameBoy Player, though.

I mean, yeah, you have to pay $99.99 + tax for the GC and $49.99 + tax for the GB Player, but it allows you to play all GB games on it (instead of just GB or GB Color).

Plus, it's not like the GC would be useless for anything else...it has a ton of games and stuff. :)

There's a thing called a Game Boy Port SP... it's not illegal. It's only $30 and it fits in a controller slot on the GameCube. In fact, I saw it at a GameStop...

:) I have some kind of adaptor that goes on the back
of the GBA Handheld. I had to unscrew the back and
remove the back part of the GBA so i can put the adaptor
on the back of the GBA and plug the ribbon inside so it
would show on the TV. After it is all done, You just plug
in three RCA plugs on the TV and play. The downside is
the back would get very hot! about 5 or 10 minute's of
gameplay and so there is a slide top switch that turns
the adaptor off so i can cool it off a bit for about
5 minute's and then turn it back on. Don't worry, the game
is still on though. :) It also takes batteries to play it too. :lol ;)

I bought it for $65.00 and then my mom's boyfriend bought me
the Game Boy Player to play on my 52-inch TV. ;)
You also have to leave the Game Boy Player disc in your
Gamecube system in order to play your GBA games on TV. :)

I took the adaptor off and put the original back cover on since i
no longer need it anymore. I might see if i can either sell or trade
the adaptor. The color is white though. I kept the small Screwdriver's
that came with it though. :)

Boog.  8)

P.S. It is worth every penny to buy the Game Boy Player.  8)
