No problem! After awhile I got tired of the sniper and just kept using the bow. The sniper takes way too long to load!

creepindeth said:Ooh, Im going to have to disagree. The controls are near perfect. They do get in the way in rare times, otherwise they work.
The firefights get intense and it feels like you have lots of control, not total, but dang close. The graphics are the best in the industry today and perfected a lot of elements from past games.
The only things I can even come up with that are negative about the game are:
1. It's really dark, when you play it through the first time it's hard to know where you're at and where your teammates are at. But once you know the maps it doesn't bother.
2. The controls can get in the way sometimes since a lot of controls are mapped to the A button. It doesn't get close to the point of annoyance, but it does happen.
3. The story and sometimes cheesy dialogue.
That's all nitpicking though. In no way does it take away from the experience.

The story is there, but it isn't explained in-game. Which is a flaw, but honestly, the campaign is fun and challenging. Which is good enough for me... plus I hope the inevitable sequel expands upon the story.
And about character movement and A button mapping...
They move slow because it is NOT a run and gun game. Your moves should be slow, careful, and tactical. Plus, roadie run mode gets you around plenty fast.
And the A button mapping is a good system. Once you get used to it (which took me no time at all). Honestly, I like it. It is intuitive, in my opinion.
My friend and I play this game nonstop, and we have discussed it all. We love it.
Basically, the game's few flaws are non significant, and hardly impact gameplay.

Strubes said:Do you know bout the quick load? You press the right bump to reload. Then, when it hits the solid white part of the line, you press it again. If you get it, you nailed a perfect reload which is super fast and your next bullet(s) have extra damage. If you get it in the white a little after the solid part, you get a good reload which is faster than normal, but no extra damage. However, if you miss, it takes longer to reload than if you were to just let it reload on its own.

SPOILER ALERT!...kinda
The trick to killing Raam. Make sure you have the crossbow that has exploding ammo equipped and the sniper rifle. When the battle begins, tell Dom to cease fire so he won't run up and get himself killed. Take cover behind the first part of rubble. When you get a clear shot, aim at him with the crossbow and fire. When the arrow explodes, the nemacysts surrounding RAAM will fly off. This is your chance to pull out your sniper rifle and sneak in a head shot or two. Just make sure you stay in the light so the nemacysts don't make you a quick dinner. If you keep repeating this tactic, you'll get a very rewarding ending. Smiley
Hope that helped.
