Anyone have/play the three of them for PS1/2?

I heard that Snake Eater is incredible, and I actually plan to get all three of them at some point in my life.

I've played the first two. I'll just say they're completely awesome. I should be able to get #3 by the end of the year.. I've hear nothing but good from that one

Sons Of Liberty kicked butt man. Kinda short but it made up for it with quality and gameplay. That opening scene on the bridge still gives me chills!! Snake eater should be equally as good so I've heard.

I've played some of the first, a little of the second, and never saw the third in action.

My friend and I used to get together and play a demo of MGS back in the day. I still remember playing "ring around the rosie" with those guards before breaking their necks silently... Ahh, good times :D

The original is a classic in every way. I still haven't cracked open Twin Snakes for the cube, but I will as soon as I have beaten more games.

Sons of Liberty was...eh. Too much talking and not enough Gameplay for me. I still liked it but it was nothing compaired to the original.

And as for Snake Eater, i'm very glad to see the game go back to it's "roots" so to speak. It looks very impressive.

I just bought the first one last night for a little less than $10. I'm off to go play it now, so I'll post up later what I think.

I have Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater right now! But haven't played it yet though.

My favorite Metal Gear is the one for Playstation back in '98. Storyline was just awesome! Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty was ok, but seemed a little short and more of a movie game than actually playing it, felt more like a movie than a game to me. But graphics are really good, top of the line I'd say. :D

Well I played like the first couple of mintues of MGS3 and its hard! Its hard because you dont use a radar to help you locate where the enemies are! I hate that! I mean you have to constantly go into first-person view like every five minutes and that gets annoying. I might have to play the game on easy difficulty first before I start on normal cause it's just way too hard right now.

first nes MG was a bastard and GB MG was even harder for me ~_~
loved both ps1 and ps2 version, have gta:sa still so i have my bro getting me this for xmas, so won't know till then :-/

I've been a Metal Gear nut since the 80's. I played and loved the NES classic, and remember when Solid was on the way to the PSX. If you preordered it at certain stores, you could get a playable demo disc. I was already interested, but the demo had me sold on the game. It was one of my top 5 favorites of the PSX era.

MGS2 I was a little disappointed in, especially since I didn't identify with Raiden. The story was a little tough to wrap my head around at first, but since I got Substance for PS2 it has become one of my favorite games. It has the Metal Gear magic I've come to love about the series.

Twin Snakes was a great remake, I still love playing it. How can you beat the full original game, with the MGS2 upgrades in gameplay? It's one of my favorite Gamecube games period.

And Snake Eater is quite good so far. I'm not that far in though, but I don't see myself being too disappointed in the end. It's a quality series, and as long as Konami mantains that quality, I would love to see them continue making Metal Gear games.

I've played all 3 of the PS/PS2 games, and Twin Snakes as well. I agree with most ppl here that MGS2 was a little too convoluted with cut-scenes and too much story. I just beat MGS3...like 30 minutes ago, and I have to say its easily the best of any of them so far. The close quarter combat system, the "no radar" difficulty, the storyline...oh god what a great story line..this one really goes back to the roots of MGS. My only complaint...its a bit short at only 18 hours..at least thats how long it took me, I'm going to replay it starting tommorrow though and try to find all those darn frogs so I can unlock the awesome Stealth Camo. Oh yeah..and a tip to anyone who gets this game..take the time to kill each boss with tranquilizers only...its so worth it for what you get once its done.
