Good read concerning Duke Nukem Forever failure.

Link contains a lengthy, but very good read about how a quest for absolute perfection ultimately led to the game's demise. I was never personally a follower of this game, but I was amazed to read that it was in development for an insane 12 years! This whole fiasco serves as a good lesson for developers of how NOT to make a game. Was anybody here following this game and what are your thoughts on this? *some language in the link*

I've heard that name a lot but have never played.Something tells me that I've been missing out. :lol

Man that game was announced back when my brother was 18. Now I'm 18 and they cancel it.
I was really interested in that game, too bad though.

It is a good read though, while reading it I felt like I was watching an E! True Hollywood Story or Behind the Music. :lol

Normally, videogames take two to four years to build; five years is considered worryingly long. But the Duke Nukem Forever team worked for 12 years straight.

Maybe Blizzard should learn something from this story...

Interesting story sometimes success comes to quickly to people it definetly gives you something to think about that and some people have no business sense. Although on the flip side I doubt they could ever make a version of Duke Nukem Forever that would truely live up to the legacy left by there 2 earlier projects Wolfstien 3-D and Duke Nukem mostly because the industry was it's infancy back then.
