Great SNES Find!

This is my first post on this forum. I found such a great deal that I had to tell someone, I figured members of this forum would appreciate this the most.

I frequent flea markets, garage sales, Goodwills, and thrift stores (you get the picture) for items to add to any of my random collections. While leaving Goodwill last night, I see an SNES box sitting on the counter with 2 bags of games on top. There is a sticker marking the lot at $30.03 and the only game I can see is Super Mario Kart with a mint label. On a whim, I took the deal. When I got home this is what I find:

-SNES console w/ complete hardware, all wrapped in original factory plastic, not a stain on the machine (the box has some dings and shelf wear, but whatever)
-Mortal Kombat
-Mortal Kombat II
-TMNT IV: Turtles in Time
-Street Fighter II
-Super Mario All*Stars
-Super Mario Kart
-Super Mario World
-Yoshi's Cookie
-DK Country 1
-DK Country 3
-The Lion King (a great game that few people pay attention to)
-Stanley Cup Hockey
-Bubsy

I'm so happy I took the deal. Every cartridge has a near mint to mint label. I went low-ball eBay estimate on these items and the games alone would bring $125 at a minimum, the console with box $50 and beyond. I'm not in this to make a profit, but I was happy to pick up so many rare games and another console for my collection at such an amazing price.

I'm one of those consummate collectors. I collect everything from baseball cards and coins to vintage Pyrex glass and various art media. This seems like a pretty solid forum, I hope to get some replys.

Yeah, that was a great find. I mean, not only are they in good condition, but they are actually good games, as well. :) Whoever sold that must not have known their value. Either that, or some kid somewhere is madder than a wet hen because his mom did it. :lol

As kirby said, welcome to the forums. :)

None of that is worth anything if you dont have Kirby Super Star.

Let's get to the real question here. Exactly how mad is a wet hen?

Thank you to everyone for the welcome. I'll do my best to be a valued member of the forum. I'm involved in sports cards and metal detecting forums as well, and I've learned a lot from my involvement. I'm sure this forum will be the same.

In reply to the Kirby Super Star cartridge, I've never played a Kirby game in my life. That's probably a sin in some gaming realm somewhere.

As for wet hens, I don't know why they're so mad. In the south I've heard the phrase, "running around like a chicken with its head cut off" all my life...it's pretty self explanatory as to its origins.

I'm saddened to hear that you have not played a Kirby game, hehe. Since you have an SNES, pick up Kirby Super Star. It's a ton of different Kirby games all rolled into one. You'll love it.
