GTA III Gore Cheat Help

I picked this one up (i know its old but it was only FIVE BUCKS!!!!) and...um...i kinda tried to 'More Gore' cheat and it wont work for the life of me. i just completed the first mission for the don, so im not that far in. i know its stupid but i wanna try it :. the cheat that over 10 game sites have given me is X,L,B, DOWN, L, R, Y, RIGHT, L, A. assuming L and R are refering to the trigger buttons, i have inputed it correctly. do i just have to get farther in the game, or is the cheat wrong. i feel like and idiot for posting this...

I believe if I remember correctly all the more gore cheat does is show a lotta blood and more decapitations.

You know what's fun? Warning don't save after doing this, I repeat do not save after doing this because you will not be able to turn it off. Do the pedestriand fight each other cheat and the pedestrians have weapons cheat. It will be war on the streets. It's fun to do every once in a while. If you really wanna go full bore hardcore do the pedestrians hate you cheat. See how long you can survive. :lol

Oh....ill try that. Have you ever enabled the "Better Car Handling Cheat" (it makes your car jump when you press the left thumbstick down), launched up a ramp and made it jump at the lip of the ramp? it makes for some SWEET Burnout-esqe explosions. :lol
